Name: Yukiko Amaya.

Nickname // Alias: Yuki.

Age: 23.

Gender: Female.

Weight: 141lbs.

Height: 5”11.

Appearance:

Yukiko Amaya [Elite Jounin] [~Approved; ~Fox~] Yuki

Personality:

Yukiko tends to come across as a quiet and reserved person. This is a simple misunderstanding – she is not reserved, and is merely choosing not to waste words. In fact, she is a headstrong young woman who sticks to her opinions and beliefs, regardless of others. She is the first to admit that she can be stubborn at times, but this only lends itself to a good leadership personality.

She fights for what can only be described as ‘morally good’ causes, putting others’ welfare before her own. This attitude forms the basis of her sense of justice, focused on helping the meek and innocent. She is a very passionate person, but does not let her emotions cloud her judgement. As such, in battle she is efficient and deadly. Like her ‘economical’ use of her voice, she doesn’t waste movements when fighting either.

Yuki’s inner-circle of friends know her to be kind, witty and sociable. She only trusts a handful of people, and never takes anything at face value. She is very loyal, always protecting those she cares about. Her family are at the top of this hierarchy being the people dearest to her heart. Her primary fear is being taken from them, or having them taken from her.

Background Information // RP Sample:

History:

Yukiko Amaya was born 23 years ago, in Konohagakure. Her father, Osamu Amaya was a famous but retired shinobi, her mother an important but also retired village elder. Because of such heritage, she was burdened as the family’s hope for future glory – when she was old enough, it was her elder’s wish that she transform the small family into an official clan, with her at its head. She was told all of this at young age, but her head was filled with other dreams for the future, though she didn’t dare reveal these to anyone else. Her dream was in fact to wander the shinobi world, giving aid to those who most needed it.

At nine years old, Yuki enrolled in the ninja academy in Konohagakure, under the guidance of a benevolent sensei. Her training there was merely an extension of the training she received within at home, but she worked just as hard at it nonetheless. Her baby sister was due to join the academy in eight years time, so she was determined to set a good example. She was a popular figure among the academy students, unusual but pretty, quiet but not shy, talented but not boastful. She made a handful of close friends – these children would remain her best friends throughout her life, though she didn’t yet know it. She spent two years in the academy, and to this day will relate to them as some of the best times of her life. At eleven years old, she graduated the academy without any fuss, excelling in each area she was tested in.

Her family were overjoyed, but her promotion presented with a new problem at home. Irregular missions and irregular training outside of the her family life would now disrupt her home training. Her father and tutor began to work her even harder when she was at home. This caused a little friction between the family, her mother fighting on Yuki’s side against her father and tutor. Tired of the fighting, she vowed to become a Chuunin as soon as she could, so that she would be allowed to take her training into her own hands.

Yuki had been assigned to a female Jounin sensei, and two male Genin teammates. Either due to good fortune or to her elder’s awareness of existing friendships, the two Genin were among the handful of close friends she’d made at the academy. In addition to that, she was secretly rather pleased that there was a female influence within the group. The team took little time to bond, displaying a reasonably good teamwork initiative during their first training session. Admittedly, Yuki and her two friends found it difficult to concentrate on the task at hand, often opting to muck around a little. Her sensei stepped in whenever this happened, explaining the dangers of not being aware at all times when on a mission. Eventually, the message got through and the three began to train seriously, impressing their sensei as they did.

Yukiko and her team had been on a number of missions by the time the next Chuunin exams came around. Her sensei did not tell her that she had been entered until the day before the first exam. She was aware of how hard Yuki would be worked at home if her parents knew that she’d been entered. The written exam and the team practical exam both went smoothly for the young kunoichi and her team, though she had feared a little for their survival at the final question in the written exam. She scolded herself later for not fully believing in her companions. The third and final exam began with each member of Yuki’s team facing somewhat easy opponents. They all progressed, which culminated in the two boys fighting each other and Yuki fighting an opponent from Sunagakure. She won her match easily, but the boys had a tense fight that ended in a draw, neither of them progressing to the finals. Her talent took her to the very final fight, where she met a member of one of Konoha’s strongest clans – an Uchiha. In a closely fought contest, Yuki learned that she would have to undergo specific training to match the predictive abilities of the Sharingan. She admitted defeat and settled for second-place. Her elders had been impressed with her progress, skills, intelligence and humility. She was awarded the position of Chuunin, the Uchiha the only other one in these exams to attain the rank.

The harsh training at home ceased, and Yukiko’s family life picked up – despite her more regular periods of time spent away on missions. It was a few weeks later that her mother announced that she was pregnant. Elated at the thought of having a brother or sister, Yuki began to draw up lists of possible names, helped her father re-decorate her old room, and buy some of the necessary baby items. At six months, her mother had to be given more help by the rest of the family, because her movement was beginning to become impaired. While out buying food, Yuki heard (as did the rest of Konohagakure) the warning calls of an attack upon the village. Finding her way to the lookouts, she found two of them dead, and the third barely alive. Apparently, two men had snuck into the village and were searching for something. Appalled at the actions of the intruders, Yuki sprinted home to defend her family. When she arrived, she found the house in disarray, and her parents cornered by two large thug-like rogue shinobi. In a furious tangle of emotions, Yuki released a huge amount of chakra all at once. From her feet, ice rapidly spread, working its way over everything in the room. The thugs turned to notice her just as the ice took hold of the outside of the building. They had little time to react as the frozen water engulfed them both, working its way down their throats even after they had stopped moving. With Yuki’s anger focused on protecting her family, the only part of the building not now enveloped in ice was a small huddle in the corner – the figures of her mother and father. Coming to her senses a little, Yuki saw the dangerous situation she had put them in and rushed her family out of the building, not moments before the entire thing shattered into millions of tiny ice shards.

This moment brought about two changes in Yuki’s life. The first was her purpose and direction. Her encounter with the criminals had shown her how quickly someone can take advantage of a weak person, and how suddenly they can be lost. She decided to do all she could - within the confines of her role in the village – to help those who were unable to protect themselves. The second change regarded her newfound ability. With renewed determination and a whole new level of techniques to explore, she doubled her efforts in training.

Despite being somewhat removed from normal life with her intense training, she was given the opportunity to become a Jounin by the Hokage. Yuki accepted and entered a Jounin-level exam with a small number of other Chuunin. Her attitude had noticeably changed since the Chuunin exams. She was more ‘cutthroat’, dispatching her opponents quickly without any flicker of mercy. Impressed with her ability, though wary of this new attitude, she was promoted. She was almost immediately sent on a two-man cell mission, and then many more with the same partner. Eventually, Yuki questioned this and was told that her partner was selected as a calm and gentle person to curb her merciless attitude. It was then that Yuki noticed how far from her regular life she had strayed. This revelation came with mixed emotions. She felt unburdened because she could stop the intense training, but she had neglected her family and was awash with guilt because of it.

It took a number of years for Yukiko to find a balance between her righteous sense of justice and her desire to be with those she loved and cherished. She made requests to be promoted on several occasions during this time, but each was denied because of her inner conflictions. At 22 years old, she was offered the promotion she desired as both the Hokage and his advisors had to concede that she had at last found peace in herself.

Wrinkling her nose at the thought of the difficult situation now before her, Kushinada decided to act now rather than wait for a plan to come to her. She bit the tip of her thumb sharply to draw a small drop of blood. Forming the appropriate seals, she placed her palm flat on the ground as she spoke firmly. "Kuchiyose no Jutsu." There were two plumes of smoke that arose from the expanding seal appearing on the ground. When they cleared, two large otters were stood lookushig at Kushi. One was slightly taller than the other, but both were nearly the size of a human. "I need your help again, family Kawa-uso." The kunoichi turned to the shorter of the pair. "Chieko, there are hundreds wounded down there..." Kushi gestured to the village below, "I cannot heal them all myself. Please go and do what you can." The female otter bounded away towards the village. The other, the male, wore a serious expression. "Isamu, the village was attacked by pirates. I need you to rally as many able bodies as you can - and they must be prepared to fight. Also, please attend the village's defences, they will not hold as they are." As she watched Isamu sprint toward the village, Kushi turned once more to the elder. "I hope your people have courage enough to fight back, we will need all the help we can get." With that, she nodded at the elder and ran to join the otter pair.

Upon entering the village, Kushinada saw Chieko with her paws on a villager's arm, the familiar green glow of the Shousen Jutsu surrounding the otter's furry hands. A long line of the wounded was leant against a wall just next to them, and a few had already been healed and were walkushig away from the scene. Kushi could not see any unconscious people, and guessed that Chieko had been quick in administering her Seiyroute technique too. "...our cause. These pirates will not stop unless we make a stand. They are no more than common thieves who would bully you into submission. Will you suffer this ind..." The young Jounin half-smiled as she heard Isamu's firm, deep voice echo across the village. Hopefully, his words would have a rousing effect. Forming the correct seals, Kushi's hands began to glow with the same green aura as Chieko's. She strode over to the female otter's side and began to heal those waiting in line. At least it's just simple cuts and bruises at the moment, nothing drastic. She thought to herself. She knew that her chakra would not stretch much further if she had to heal this many major wounds.
