Junsei Hyuuga [Akatsuki] [~Approved; ~Fox~]

Junsei is a very interesting lad when it comes to appearance. His crop of black hair isn't particularly long, and it is in a rather normal slightly spiked style. His white eyes are not always visible, as he does not want to make it to obvious who he is when in disguise and not wearing his akatsuki cloak. His face is small and rather feminine, though he isn't very short and when people mistake him for a girl they usually get the message that he is a guy after the first couple of smacks. Around his wrists there are a pair of small bands. His akatasuki cloak is secured with a white sash around his waist. The cloak itself is characteristically long and covers his entire slim body in most instances. Sometimes he leaves part of it open to keep cool as it adds another layer to his clothing. Under the cloak he wears a white shirt and white pants which stand out against the blackness of the cloak and match his previously mentioned Hyuuga white eyes. He wears a band around his neck signifying that he has lost or abandoned his headband. In fact, he has kept it, and has kept it perfect, but does not wish to damage it in anyway so he keeps it at his waist.

Junsei's personality is generally described as more up-beat than down, though he isn't hyper or bouncing off the walls by any means. He talks more than most of the Akatsuki members and does not conform to their views on very many things, seeing them mostly as pawns to furthering his own development. In Konoha he was very good at the popular game of Go, and most of his strategy is based around that game, as well as some advanced strategy tutoring by his ex-sensei. He generally chooses to be in a conversation rather than outside of it, and is generally not terse, choosing instead to elaborate on what he says in order to make it more clear. He does not usually take offense at many things, though he has been known to strike people for calling him a girl or for describing him as feminine. His personality does not attract very many to him, though those that do are often the "true friends" rather than false ones.

Byakugan is the blood inheritance limit of the Hyuuga Clan. The Hyuuga clan was one of the founding noble families of Leaf village. The clan itself is said to be the ancestors of the Uchiha clan who possess the bloodline of the Sharingan eye. When the "Byakugan" is activated, the clan member gains an extra-sensory perception, which gives them penetrating sight and telescopic vision. This allows them to see the tenketsu; the internal chakra coils system 361 pressure points. This vision also grants the member a near 360° view of their surroundings, the higher the skill of the clan member, the further the distance from which they can sense incoming attacks. Unfortunately the vision does have a weakness, a small blind spot that extends outwards from the vertebra of the upper back.

The clan uses this ability in conjunction with their own chakra creating the Juuken (gentle fist) fighting style. The clan member can use their fingers or palms to emit chakra to flow into their opponents body's at the tenketsu points. When the hand draws close enough to strike, the clan member can stop or increase their opponent’s chakra flow. The internal chakra coils which spread throughout the body also wrap around the internal chakra producing organs. So if the internal coils are attacked, it also damages these internal organs. Because a ninja can not train their internal body, such damage can be a critical hit for even a highly skilled ninja. The tenketsu serve as the connectors and exit points for the chakra pathways. So when they are stopped by the Hyuuga clan member, the ninja greatly loses his or her ability to utilize their chakra for jutsu.

When the finger nears the tenketsu the chakra is forced out, collasping the targetted tenketsu for a period of time. The tenketsu serve as the connectors and exit points for the chakra pathways. So when they are stopped by the Hyuuga clan member, the ninja greatly loses his or her ability to utilize their chakra for jutsu.

These great powers lead to internal strife within the family. Because the eye grants such a unique and powerful ability, the clan became possessive and over-protective of it. Seeing only the main family as worthy users and inheritors of the eye, the heads of the clan began to place restrictions on those branch family members not in power. What resulted were two Hyuuga lines, the powerful main family who would represent the line, and the branch family who were directed to protect the main family and bear the cursed seal.

The cursed seal is placed on the foreheads of branch family members. It serves as a means to protect the secrets of the Hyuuga Byakugan eye. If the branch family member was to ever betray the main family or be killed in battle, the seal would be activated to destroy the body's secrets. Thus forcing the branch family to further bow to the will of the main family.

Description: This Taijutsu is a variation of the other two Palm Strike jutsus utilized by the Hyuuga clan. Developed by Junsei it allows for the user to use any amount of strikes he or she wishes, though only if they have sufficient chakra, aren't interrupted, have the Byakugan and have had the special training required. The basics of any Eight Divination Signs ability is that using the Byakugan's ability to see chakra flow a Hyuuga can strike certain points to make the chakra flow slow down or stop entirely. The more times hit, the harder the hit is, and the places where it hits are important, as well as the amount of chakra the user uses, as it is only with chakra that one may stop the flow of chakra.

Name: 1000 Meter Palm Strike

Description: Using either very little chakra and a lot of force or a lot of chakra and very little force the user of this jutsu must be prepared for the consequences. On the one hand, if the target is stationary, then the intended effect will have been reached, they will fly 1000 meters (approximately) and will undoubtedly break more than a couple of bones. On the other hand, if the target dodges the technique, the user is very open to attacks, as the hand will be outstretched and as so much force will have been directed straight forward.

Description: Used in conjunction with any of the Hyuuga techniques, or, for that matter, any technique where the user's hand makes physical contact with the target, Flaming Fist is a deadly weapon. It ignites the user's hands so that each strike will serve to burn the opponent. For this reason Junsei, the maker of it, does not with to spread it or teach it to many, as if used properly it could allow a very talented ninja to burn down a small village in less than a minute. This jutsu constantly drains chakra from the user, and though the fire does not affect the user's hands in burning them. It can also be used to burn through ropes.

Description: Bunshin no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique which every ninja learns at the Ninja Academy. The Bunshin technique creates a copy of the ninja without substance. The copy resembles the ninja in every way. This clone can function as a distraction or as means to confuse one's opponent. As soon the Bunshin gets attacked or comes into contact with an opponent, it will disperse.

Description: Kinobori no Waza, the art of tree climbing serves a dual purpose. Taking part in Kinobori Shugyou (Tree Climbing Training) helps a ninja learn how to focus their chakra. It also teaches the ninja how to run up trees and walk on vertical walls. The training helps the ninja learn how to focus just the right amount of chakra to a particular part of their body. The amount needed to climb is small but it must be precise. The feet are regarded as the hardest location to master chakra focusing. So by gaining the art of this skill, the ninja will have any jutsu available (theoretically) because they will be able to focus their chakra as needed.

Description: Shunshin no Jutsu is a basic Ninjutsu technique. The ninja will appear and disappear in an instant, allowing them to retreat or attack suddenly. To facilitate the movement the ninja will often use nearby elements such as mist, sand or leaves to mask their appearance or disappearance.

Description: Henge no Jutsu is a ninjutsu technique which every ninja learns at the Ninja Academy. Henge allows the ninja to transform themselves into any person or object. This allows the ninja to move with stealth or to trick their opponents. However, it does not grant one the properties of said objects or skills of that person, meaning turning into a weapon will not allow you to cut an opponent and turning into a dog will not give you a great sense of smell.
This technique can also be used in conjunction with someone, who may a person, a pet or a summoning creature, in which case it is called Konbi Henge (Combination Transformation). However, its principles remain the same.


Name: Kawarimi no Jutsu - Body Substitution Technique

Description: Kawarimi no Jutsu is a basic Ninjutsu technique. When in danger the ninja will quickly substitute themself with another nearby object. This can be a block of wood or even another person. This allows the ninja to quickly flee and hide while the original object takes the brunt of their opponents attack. Naturally, it won't work with another person unless their skill gap is enormous, and the object to replace oneself with must be close in size and weight to the ninja themselves. This technique must be set up a little ahead when fighting skilled opponents, otherwise, you may end up getting struck because you wouldn't have enough time to use it.


Name: Kage Bunshin no Jutsu - Shadow Clone Technique

Description: Kage Bunshin is a Jounin level Ninjutsu technique. The normal Bunshin technique creates a copy of the ninja that lacks any substance. The Kage Bunshin distributes the ninja's chakra evenly among the clones and creates a real copy with form and substance. The clone itself can also utilize any jutsu the original ninja knows. When the clone finally disperses, any new knowledge it has gained is passed back to the original ninja and any additional clones. This makes Kage Bunshin an excellent training method if the ninja has the chakra capacity and stamina to maintain the Kage Bunshins for an extended period of time. This allows the ninja to essentially reduce the time it takes to train and learn with each clone added. This is especially true when used with Tajuu Kage Bunshin.

Description: Hakkeshou Kaiten is a Taijutsu technique unique to the Hyuuga bloodline using the Jyuuken. Kaiten is a special technique passed down through the main family line. Kaiten takes advantage of several of the unique abilities of the Byakugan eye. Byakugan gives the clan member an almost complete 360 degree view of their surroundings. This allows the member to see all angles of attack.

If an attack is near, the clan member will release a large of amount of chakra from their tenketsu. The member then begins to spin like a top, creating a whirling vortex that can nullify almost any attack.

Name: Gentoushin no Jutsu - Lit Apparition Technique

Description: Gentoushin no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique created by Pain and used by Akatsuki to gather at one location, even while members are in different parts of the world. By forming the needed handseal, an astral form of their being will appear at the desired location. This spirit can act in conjunction with other members to do combination jutsu like the Genryuu Kyuu Fuujin. While in the spirit form, the member’s voice will sound deep and distorted.

This allows the user to gather intel that would other be inaccessible.

Description: This Sennou Jutsu belongs to Akatsuki member Sasori. Sasori placed a memory block on Hidden Sand ninja Yuura, who was once his inferior. Over a period of years Yuura was acting for Hidden Sands best interests, all the while being unknowing of his former connection to Sasori. When the time came, Sasori released the block and gave Yuura his memory back. Unsuspecting that their comrade was now against them, the Hidden Sand ninjas fell to Yuura's hands.

The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.
Junsei's life began in a barely lit room with a group of people gathered around a woman in pain. But to begin a story, one must have a prologue, to begin a journey, one must have prepared. Years before Junsei was born, his father was born, years before that, his father's father, and so on stretched his family tree. However, what was not represented on any sort of tree was Junsei's true heritage, that of being not of the branch family of the Hyuugas nor of the main line. He was a half-breed, his father a nobleman, his mother just a sideshow. The two fell in love and very romantically ran away. Not so romantically, they were caught, but not before Junsei's mother was pregnant with Junsei, and not before his father had grown so close to her that they could not rip the two apart. Rather than try and rather than fail the leaders of the family decided to let the child live. He might be useful, There had been many a powerful Hyuuga made from the branch family because they were branch family, and perhaps this one would inherit the genetic strength of the main branch. The power of nature mixed with the power of nurture, his will would increase the abilities he would no doubt start off with. However, they shunned her mother out from main Hyuuga headquarters, so that her son would grow up to be strong, so that he would grow up to be used. And so, before his life began, his life had already begun to be controlled.

We begin to die as soon as we are born, and the end is linked to the beginning.
The beginning of one's life is sometimes the hardest and always the one in which we take in the most un-identifiable sensory data. When Junsei's life began the un-identifiable sensory data was mostly that of a cold place where the air was stagnant and the water tasted not unlike the food. His living conditions were unsanitary and terrible, not least because his mother barely scraped a living as a shinobi without the extra mouth to feed. When she was away on missions he would be taken care of by a kind old grandma, that rather much disapproved of his mother's and father's relationship but did not make much mention of it. He did not understand most of what was going on while he was young and sometimes he liked hiding and looking at people. His parents and babysitter did not realize that he had managed to achieve a Byukugan activation at will before the age of 4, and he often spied on some of the Hyuugas in the main household, wondering what it was that they did. He found out that they had much better living conditions than him, but that did not really register until he was older.

The golden age was never the present age.
Life went on but life did not get better. He spent more and more time with his sitter while his mother spent more and more time off on missions. He grew to cherish this new mother of his, and when it was time for his first day at the shinobi academy she was the one waving him goodbye nervously as him and hundreds of other kids rushed in to a large, white building on the first day of their long shinobi lives. He was nearly trampled by the others but managed to keep up, his feet gliding across the floor this his classes, holding on nervously to his small pack which contained a couple of rusty shuriken, a soggy bag lunch, a notebook and a single, worn down pencil. He was both tormented and teased in his classes by those more fortunate then him. He told himself that it would get better, though he wasn't quite sure if he believed it. Would it really get better? He wasn't sure. He went through the academy, growing more and more accustomed to having no mother and more and more accustomed to this strange ability that he had, that he only learned about in scrolls. He began to develop his skills until they got better and better, rivaling those of the pompous main branch. Though he did not know as many fancy moves as they did, the scroll for many of the jutsus were in private Hyuuga storage, he was fast and hit well. He wasn't very good at genjutsu, but the teachers got over it, as long as he could graduate he would never have to used the type of jutsu again. Then again, to graduate, one must be proficient in all fields. Which he was. He came out as the valedictorian in his class and was often teased in his years as a genin for it.

Perfection is imperfect.
Though he was very good, he was still not good enough. Good enough for himself, good enough for his team, good enough for his mother to stay with him, to care for him. Even as a genin he worked tirelessly, and even with a team that was supposed to watch his back he was still tormented and abused. He managed to "borrow" a scroll from a Hyuuga girl in exchange for some time teaching her. She was his first real crush and he asked her if maybe they could, ya know, hang out sometime. She said she had "plans" and he took that to mean what it did, that she didn't want to. He kept the scroll in vengeance and managed to devise a method of increasing the amount of strikes. The more strikes he added however, the more chakra it sapped from him, so he did not go above 64 until it was time for his chunin exams. He managed to make it to the top, and when he did, he went all out. 128 direct strikes to the body. To most it looked as if he had just used 64 Palms twice, but in fact, to anybody who studied it carefully enough, they would notice that there was no hesitation (hesitation would mean starting a new jutsu) between the 64th and the 65th strike. His opponent fell nearly dead before him, paralyzed until a Hyuuga medic got onto the field to open up the poor lad's chakra pathways again. It was unfortunate really that Junsei had won the match as well as taken the position of chuunin, as it showed to him and the rest of the people there that maybe brute force really was the best way to go.

The longest day must have an end.
And so does life. Junsei's mother passed away shortly after the other maternal figure in his life, his sitter. She died of "unknown causes" mostly because Junsei did not have enough money to pay for a proper autopsy. He moved into his sitter's old house and since nobody claimed it, lived there in relative comfort until the fateful day that the letter arrived. He had been eating breakfast when he heard the mailman deliver it. He opened it up and there was an official looking "invitation" to a brunch with the Hyuuga royal house. Like he had any choice. He hurried off, worried that they were going to arrest him or something for knowing jutsus that were normally reserved for main house members. He instead found a feast with the councilmen, and when it was over, they told him why he had come. They told him about his past, and about how the were going to make him be the Hyuuga representative, the best of the best, the prodigy. He flew off in a rage and disappeared from the village forever before they could finish their explanations however, and started wandering around, planning to return when he was more powerful and more equipped to lead the Hyuuga into a new age where they would never, ever do something like that again.

To get through the hardest journey we need take only one step at a time, but we must keep on stepping.
Eventually Junsei got enough of a reputation to be known around. Though everybody knew him by his alias of Genesis, he was rather easy to find, especially with the resources certain special interest groups had. One day while he was traveling through the lightning country he was halted by a man in a dark cloak covered in red clouds. That was the day he learned about the Akatsuki and their goals. He joined them not so much because of their goals (he did not agree with them), but rather to use them to become more powerful, and because they could pay him well. He joined and eventually grew accustomed to their way of life, though he was definitely one of the youngest there. He picked up an ANBU mask in Konoha one day, and kept half of it as a trophy, leaving the right half on the shinobi's face, and putting a large gash through the ANBU's headband. He has been wandering around since then, looking for more recruits to the Akatsuki and looking for new ways to increase his powers.

He cocked his head and dragged his feet along. There was no point doing this, it would be more efficient to just Shunshin where it was that he wanted to go. The problem was that he wasn't sure where he wanted to go. The storm as starting to pick up behind him and he readjusted his hat so that it would not get blown off and so that sand would not get blown into his eyes. He had been having an internal struggle about why it was that he was traveling through this damned place anyway. Who the hell traveled through the desert for no apparent reason while there were jutsus to be learned, enemies to be slain, and a new generation to be properly molded. No... There must be some reason that he was here, some internal force had obviously guided him here? What the hell for? He had no clue. The area around him was pretty much flat except for the occasional small dune what got blown over and then recreated again by the storm pounding against his fresh cloak. And why was he wearing the cloak anyway? He would be traveling through territory that could be occupied by ninja. And even though most did not know of the Akatsuki, if even one did, Junsei had risked his own life for no reason. Ah well... He shrugged and continued on. He thought he saw something on the ground a short distance away... Maybe it would be something interesting. Maybe this was what he was looking for. Well, not really he, more like that odd internal force.
